Progressive edge. Dr. Amir Yazdan fuses the best of today’s medical approaches to give you superior care and a better, more enhanced you. He is board certified and a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the world’s leading medical authority on hair loss and hair restoration.

His passion for science led him to earning a biology degree from the University of California and a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. During his residency at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside, CA, he completed comprehensive training in two divergent fields: cosmetic medicine and emergency medicine.

Dr. Yazdan has received extensive training in Hair Transplant Surgery in one of the leading Hair Transplant Centers in the world. He has successfully performed over1,000,000 (1 Million) FUE graft extractions and has harvested over 2,000,000 (2 Million) FUT grafts.

“My residency allowed me to treat patients in many areas of medicine, but I particularly enjoyed my extensive training in cosmetic procedures. While completing my residency, I began to expand my training in the cosmetic side of medicine and specialized in hair transplantation. Over the last few years, I’ve been privileged to have surgical training from leading physicians in the field of cosmetics and hair transplantation via preceptorships done in the U.S. and Dubai.”

That specialized training and experience prompted him to establish the Modena Laser Center & Med Spa in 2011, where he offers a spectrum of services: laser hair removal, botox, skin tightening, spider vein removal dermal fillers, chemical peels, micro dermabrasion, lip injection, among other body treatments.

“With an increase in male patients coming to the cosmetic center, I received extensive training in Hair Transplant Surgery and new specialized techniques and am able, to offer Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), a minimally invasive, dynamic technique for hair transplantation. I am committed to excellence, using only the latest technologies and scientific advancements in hair restoration to ensure outcomes that go beyond a patient’s expectations.”

Dr. Yazdan also maintains staff privileges at University Medical Center, where he also practices in their ER and Urgent Care facilities.

Fueled by fitness and life. When not at the center, Dr. Yazdan is living life to the fullest, from tennis, road racing and dirt bike riding to the extreme sport of heliboarding—snowboarding after jumping out of a helicopter—in Canada or Alaska. He also unwinds by playing piano and building stuff, like motorcycles and even an off-road trophy truck to race in the Baja 1000.

Research. While on an investigative team during his residency, Dr. Yazdan conducted two case studies: one in intralobar pulmonary sequestration and the other on gastric adenocarcinoma with acute pulmonary embolism and fatal acute disseminated intravascular coagulation. Both studies were through the Loma Linda University Medical Center.
